Principal's Message
The Mission of Vista Heights Middle School is to develop a culture of inquiring, knowledgeable, and caring students who help to create a better and more peaceful world through intercultural understanding and respect. The staff of Vista Heights Middle School takes great pride in providing each student an education focused on assisting the home in developing productive citizens for our community through an International Baccalaureate (IB) Middle Years Program (MYP) education. We believe that a strong emphasis must be placed on academics, we have high expectations for our students, but we also ensure there are numerous supports in place to ensure all students can meet those expectations.
Middle school should provide each student numerous opportunities to practice life skills and to explore their place in an intercultural society. Our curriculum and programs are designed with the idea of reaching every student.
Together we must help our students value hard work, and academic success guided by good character. The decisions made by a sixth, seventh or eighth grader will determine success in high school and beyond. Students that pass through the doors of Vista Heights should reflect our influence.
Our website contains information about the policies and programs the students will experience during their years at Vista Heights. We hope it will be helpful in answering any questions you may have regarding the services or concerns. Please review it carefully with your child at the beginning of school to ensure a smooth transition into the new year.
Our doors remain open to you during the year to discuss issues or ideas that will benefit the children. Only by working together can we ensure their success.
Please do not hesitate to reach out if you have any questions or concerns.
