Parent Supports for Distance Learning

Welcome to the 2020-21 school year!  Our district theme for this year is Focus Forward. As we engage in distance learning, we will encounter difficulties along the way, but we will work together to problem solve, practice, and improve.

This page will be under constant construction as we learn more. We'll add links to tips that can help you with issues you might be having. Always know that the Vista Heights staff is here to support all of our students and parents, so please reach out to us so we can resolve any issues. Thank you.

If you are having any trouble accessing any program (Clever, Zoom, Google Classroom), the first thing to try is clearing the Chrome Browser cache and cookies, then shutting down and restarting the Chromebook. This solves almost all of the problems. Here are the directions for clearing the cache and cookies:

  • Select the three dots on the top right of the browser
  • Select “More tools”
  • Select “Clear Browser Data”
  • Make sure the “Time Range” is set to “All time”
  • Check box “Cookies and other site data”
  • Click the “Clear data” button

CLICK HERE for a video that shows you how to do this.
CLICK HERE for written directions with pictures that shows you how to do this.

Please try this solution first for any problem you might be having.
